There are a lot of very good free resources on the Internet to help you progress with your learning. We have listed the ones we recommend below. Click on the logo and you will be taken directly to the website.

Myguide is a website designed to help people take their first steps with computers and the internet. You need to register to use the site. Once registered, you will get access to an easy-to-use email system and a wide range of online courses.

Webwise is the BBC's free course teaching you everything you need to know about the internet. The course is split into sections, interactive, easy to use and fun.

Computer Tutor is for people who don't know how to use a keyboard or mouse. Sit back and watch as Computer Tutor teaches you all the skills you need to get started. Very easy to use and interactive.

Being able to touch type isn't essential when using computers, but it does help if you have a rough idea where the various keys are! This is a simple, fun, colourful website with animation and games introducing touch typing. It's aimed at children but ideal for our clients too! You might like to switch off the sound as the goat's voice can be a bit much!

If you have Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007 on your computer, this site has lots of tutorials on each application such as Word (word processing), Excel (spreadsheets), Outlook (email), Access (databases) and more....easy to follow and professionally written.
