Hi Angela and Ian, Want you to know just how much I enjoyed the class yesterday. Very informative and helpful. Your enthusiasm is an inspiration and certainly has put me back on the track to using my laptop. Hello Ian & Angela Once again I am singing your praises. I phoned a couple of weeks ago quite unnerved by a security issue which kept popping up whilst on my computer. Ian came the next day and got rid of it for me. This proved yet again what would I do without you two? Knowing if anything like this occurs I can rely on you with all confidence. Ian then came a week later and gave my laptop a service which has made a lot of difference and in the process gave me lots of useful information as always. I have passed on details of your website to several of my friends who very much enjoy going through the various headings and also tell me (as if I didn't already know) how fortunate I am to always have you to call upon. I have friends who have been computerised far longer than me and are not doing what I have the confidence to do i.e. banking , shopping, utilities and if I want any information I just go to my laptop. Every time I have come to one of your workshops or had a lesson at home I feel I cannot thank you enough for giving me so much confidence, sometimes I cannot believe myself what I am able to do which gives me the incentive to keep learning. Hi Ian and Angela, Kate and I just wanted to drop you a line to say how much we enjoyed your lesson and how beneficial it's proved to us. We have been using the internet so much more and become far more confident finding information so much easier. Kate almost completed last Saturday's Telegraph crossword puzzle and I found all those postcodes missing from our Christmas card list for so many years! We very much appreciated how well you both put the relevant information across it was certainly very easy to understand. Hi Ian and Angela The info in the newsletter regarding scams is brilliant !! I was delighted and surprised to find you covered so much more than computer scams..I did not expect so much advice and am very grateful for being made aware of the modern day pitfalls ...forewarned is forearmed .. We do get some annoying phone calls which we quickly end by politely saying thankyou but no thank you goodbye.! So far have not met any "undesireables"on my laptop ...and thank you for making me aware. The work and effort into putting this newsletter together is wonderful and I consider I am so lucky to have become a Happy Lappy customer in timeto receive this very important newsletter. Dear Angela and Ian I am one of the many who've been meaning to thank you for all your help in bringing me into cyber world - I am now never off my laptop! You have given me confidence to do all sorts. I spend alot of my time on e-bay and at present I am following the progress of the cruise liner, we will be going on in September. Before meeting you I had a pc but didn't have the confidence to try anything and only played the games on it! I always wondered why people rated them so highly. However, since going to my first lesson with you and a few one to one classes at home, I have not looked back. I can truthfully say thanks to you, my laptop is one of my best friends. Dear Angela and Ian My main experience with computers since I retired was 'to avoid them altogether!' - BUT - almost immediately the pressure was on. Every form I filled wanted my 'e-mail' address, the bank pestered to do 'on-line' banking, the utilities offered discounts for going on 'on-line', shopping 'on-line' promised to make life easier, even friends looked on in disbelief when I said I 'didn't do computers', and as for the grandchildren they seemed to think that grandma really was old and stupid at 65! So it seemed that the world really was passing me by. Then along came you two. You have made learning such fun and your patience is second to none, nothing is too much trouble and you never make me feel stupid when I think I may be asking daft questions. The tuition is clear and well presented backed up with notes to bring home as a memory aid. I was gaining in confidence, at last! I can 'e-mail', I now bank 'on-line', organise utilities 'on-line' & shop 'on-line', have found that there is a wealth of help & information out there on the website on just about anything I want to find out. I am learning how to organise my photographs and may even consider Facebook in the future ! The Remote Support Service is an amazing back-up opportunity when you are on your own and bashng you head against that brick wall getting nowhere. Thank you both! Betty

Dear Both This was a great newsletter as I got caught after buying flowers from Interflora. They promise you a gift cheque for purchasing with them, which I applied for only to find that I had inadvertantly signed up with 'my vouchers.com' which deduct £10 a month from your bank account in return for money off vouchers - plus they don't come automatically you have to apply for them!! So thanks again, like you Angela I learnt the hard way at my cost!! Keep the newsletters up please. Sam

Hi Angela and Ian, Well I have completed your challenge, and enjoyed it. I would not have been able to do anything like that a couple of months ago, so thank you for giving me the confidence which I was lacking. Hi Angela and Ian, Your lessons gave Keith the confidence he needed and he is now having a great time playing chess & draughts on line with people all over the world, and using other options on the net. What a difference. Even for someone like me who has used computers a lot, your help in upgrading and setting up a new computer was invaluable. I like to know I have your support when problems crop up, as they often do! We readily say to friends - use Happy Lappy to gain confidence and use the computer fully.
