BBC iPlayer enables you to catch up on the last 7 days of BBC television and radio - great if you have been away for a week!
Described as the 'Money Saving Guru' Martin Lewis can regularly be seen on GMTV. He is passionate about helping people save money and best of all speaks a language you will understand. This is his website - highly recommended!
Compare cheap loans, mortgages,credit cards, insurance, flights holidays and appliances. One of many comparison sites, but in our view one of the easiest to use!
Now here's something you might not have thought of - a site which pays you commission for going to other online shops from their site! There are a few about, but this is the most generous cashback website (so we think). Save all the commission up and spend it at Christmas or on something special!
This is the official UK government website for citizens. It doesn't sound very exciting, but this site could prove extremely useful to you! It contains a wide range of public services, support and advice on money, tax and benefits, motoring, pensions, retirement planning, travel, employment, education, government polices and much more. The Government don't get everything right, but they've done a good job with this website - highly recommended!
YouTube is a collection of video clips on just about anything you can think of - cooking an apple crumble, removing wax from clothing, holiday locations, old tv programmes, your favorite pop star, sporting events......the list is endless. Great for the nostalgic and curious!
It's amazing what Google gives you for free! Google Maps provides high-resolution satellite images for most areas around the world. Recently released in the UK is 'Street View' which enables you to explore most neighbourhoods at street level. Try it now by typing in a postcode, address, street name or attraction into the search bar - an absolutely brilliant application!
If you are getting to grips with your digital camera, you can create amazing greeting cards, scrapbooks, slideshows, birthday cards, and more using your photos, videos, and music with Smilebox. Email, blog or print. Really impress your family on special occasions! - a really popular site with our clients! Make sure you switch off the music at the top right of the web page (it's a bit annoying)
A large number of our clients live in the Dorset area. dorsetforyou.com is the local council website which provides information about services across Dorset for residents, businesses and visitors. If you do not come under the Dorset authority area, simply go to Google and search for your own local authority site - they all provide similar services. Visiting your local authority website is a great way to keep connected and have your say!
Don't book a hotel without first visiting trip advisor for some unbiased reviews. TripAdvisor is a free worldwide travel guide and research website that assists customers to gather travel information and post opinions - 'straight from the horses' mouth as they say!
Facebook is currently the World's most popular social networking site which connects people with friends, family and others. It's a great way to keep in touch and can help you track down old friends and colleagues. Share photos, stories and even play games against each other - a great way to waste an hour or two!
Similar to the BBC iPlayer, this site allows you to catch up on top ITV shows online for up to 30 days.
TV Catchup lets you watch live UK television on your computer and provides over 50 channels including BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Its free of charge and easy to use! You need to sign up by providing only username, email address and password.
